The importance of the sour cherry tree reaches far beyond its’ natural beauty and uses. Rather, the importance of the sour cherry tree lies in its’ ability to bring people together. The togetherness brought about by the cherry tree is the very reason that I chose the cherry tree as my tree profile. The sour cherry tree not only brings people together to share cherry pie, but also to artistically share a communal understanding for art and history. The sour cherry tree represents something more than the physical and material aspects of the tree and fruit; the sour cherry tree represents the definition of humanity in the ability to come together and enjoy all aspects of love and life.
