Abstract: Founded in 1990, The Farms Program is a business incubator that leases land, equipment, greenhouses, irrigation and storage facilities to small farms that agree to farm organically on Intervale land in Burlington, Vermont. The large smoke stack in the background is part of the McNeil Generating Station, Burlington Electric Company that uses woodchips as fuel source.
